This inspection was conducted to determine if the system is being operated and maintained in compliance with permit no. WQCS00205. Jamie Chandler (ORC) was present and assisted in the inspection. The facility appears to be well operated and maintained and was found to be compliant at the time of the inspection. The Collection System consist of approximately 52,000 linear feet of line and the average annual flow in 2020 was 99,000 gallons per day. The lines are mostly PVC, with ductile iron used for high priority lines, and 2 clay lines – one on Main Street and the other on Hwy 25/70. The clay line on Main Street was inspected and cleaned in 2020 and was found to be in good condition. Pump Stations: Pump station inspections are not being logged to the required extent. Ms. Williams emailed optional log sheets to Mr. Chandler for consideration. The log sheets that are currently being used lack a few items. During the inspection it was clear that thorough inspections and cleanings are taking place. Logbooks should be modified to reflect the line items in this report. Emergency Generator: There is one emergency generator available for all pump stations. In the event of an emergency the generator will be used at the largest pump station first and rotate through the pump stations until MSD and Mike’s Septic can assist.
