Inspection Area Description of Violation
End Use -Infiltration
The infiltration field had significant ponding at the time of the inspection and also had
vegetation growing around most of the spray heads. This is in violation of Condition III.4
of Permit No. WQ0000185 which requires the permittee to take measures to prevent
ponding in the infiltration site.
Treatment Barscreen
The mechanical screen was not operating and the manual barscreen could not be
properly operated because the bar spacing was too wide to effectively catch the solids in
the influent. Also, the operator cannot safely clean off the manual barscreen because of
the lack of a proper platform and safety railings. This is in violation of Conditions II.1 and
III.1 of Permit No. WQ0000185 which require the proper operation and maintenance of
the facility.
Remedial actions should have already been taken to correct these problems and prevent further occurrences in the
future. The Division of Water Resources may pursue enforcement action for these and any additional violations of
State law.
To prevent further action, please respond in writing to this office within 30 days upon your receipt of this Notice
of Violation regarding your plans or measures to be taken to address the indicated violations and other identified
