Cargill, Incorporated, Fayetteville, NC—StormwaterDischarge Permit NCG060047 June 2021 Monitoring -Analytical Results In accordance with the Cargill, Fayetteville facility's Stormwater Discharge Permit NCG060000, Part Ill, Section E, Cargill is submitting a Discharge Monitoring Report for monitoring conducted in June of 2021. Outfall Identification Characteristics Requiring Monthly Monitoring Benchmark Lab Results COD 120 44.7 FV002 TSS 100 139 Semi -Annual pH 6.0-9.0 7.54 O&G 30 <5.5 COD 120 131 FV005 TSS 100 38.1 Semi -Annual pH 6.0-9.0 7.89 O&G 30 <5.2 Analytical monitoring results showed that TSS exceeded the benchmark value for Outfall FV002. Over the past several months with the new North/South Road Project there has been some ground & ditch disturbance. Recently, the ditch that drains to Outfall #2 was excavated and cleaned out by our project team. During the work, some periodic stone check dams and filter booms were removed. This created a direct/rapid flow of possible contaminates to the outfall sampling location. There is noticeable evidence of erosion on the fence line on Underwood Road between the entrance gate by the hexane truck unloading area and the fire pump house. The Stormwater outfall FV002 sampling location is experiencing stormwater underflow conditions. The stormwater underflow turbulence may be contributing to TSS in the pool of stormwater where the sample is being collected. One other concern area was observed. There is standing water and solid materials in the driveway out in front of the refinery oil truck loading and clay dumpster bays. This area drains directly to the ditch. Analytical monitoring results showed that COD exceeded the benchmark value for Outfall FV005. Stormwater Outfall FV005 was observed to have some build-up of soil, debris, grass, sticks, etc. at inlet to stormwater sampling pipe. Old boiler concrete pad has miscellaneous pieces of equipment, parts, steel stored on it which has direct rain event flow to stormwater outfall.
