Subject: 5-Day Report of Plant Upset at Woodlake Country Club WWTP Belinda, Attached is the Treatment Plant (WWTP) Bypass / Upset Reporting Form 5 Day Report for the incident of 11/28/2011 at • Woodlake CC WWTP. The upset as indicated in the report was caused by a blower motor that failed. According to the operator, we have•periodic issues with the power supply into the subdivision. Nonetheless, we have replaced the blower with a new one. Also, just an update that we continue to de -water the un-named tributary adjacent to the Outfall. As you may know, we are filling the 20,000 gallon + frack truck. From there, we will remove water from this truck and dump between Woodlake CC WWTP and some to our permitted Chapel Ridge WWTP located in Chatham County. Our plan, unless we see where it may not be effective is to take an excavator with and extended arm and shovel and created a small depression in the bottom of the tributary and vac water and sludge from that point. We have made access to the lower- part of the tributary to a point where is a log across the stream. It appears that this between the almost stagnant water and the presence of the log, that the sludge was contained between the wide spot near the spillway and this log jam. Our plan is to remove water from Woodlake and put into a small tanker truck and use this water and wash the tributary back toward the sludge pump and hose positioned back near the base of the spillway. We expect this process to take several days. We then plan to collect 3 samples for sludge analysis (TCLP). Aqua and McGill will evaluate the analysis and ensure that it can be take to their composting facility. We would like to discuss in further detail the request to collect samples every day for fecal, NH3-N, TSS, and BOD5. Please call me at your earliest convenience to discuss. Yesterday, we were able to effectively clean out the sludge return for the air mod system and also the chlorine contact chamber of the existing treatment train. In the meantime, we also continue to perform work on the large aeration basin and clarifier that has been taken offline for scheduled maintenance and repairs.
