The NC Division of Coastal Management (DCM) has reviewed the Preliminary Jurisdictional Mapbook for TIP
No. R -2574 received November 5, 2012, with updated documentation received February 1, 2013. The packages included
maps depicting streams and wetland delineations in the R -2574 Project Study Area from NC 34 at Belcross, Camden
County,-to NC 168 at Barco, Currituck County. The Project Area includes Run Swamp Canal, a navigable body of water.
DCM has determined Run Swamp Canal a Public Trust Area of Environmental Concern and under the jurisdiction of
DCM.
After reviewing the documents and verifying at an onsite field review meeting on November 20, 2012, DCM
accepts the preliminary jurisdictional determination depicted on the included maps for the R -2574 project. By way of this
letter, you have the, concurrence of DCM for the jurisdictional features as presented.
