This involves the extension of culvert #910975 along Little Creek. The existing culvert is a 3@10'x9' Reinforced Concrete Box Culvert (RCBC) with flared wingwalls and a square edge headwall. The existing culvert is not buried. The proposed extension is approximately 16' upstream and 14' downstream. This structure has been designed to have as little environmental and surface water impacts as possible. Channel improvements were made from the proposed RCBC design. Excavation was kept to a minimum to produce as little impact as possible. Where excavation is necessary, geotextile and rip rap were utilized for bank stabilization in an attemp to reduce stream bank erosion. The proposed extension will not be buried. There is an existing 48" RCP along a jurisdictional stream that will be replaced with a 72" RCP-III. On the NW quadrant of the pipe, there is an existing roadside ditch that outlets into the jurisdictional stream which has been shifted to accomodate the fill slope. The proposed roadside ditch will be lined with Class B rip rap. The proposed ditch outlets into the stream with a non-erosive velocity. On the SE quadrant of the pipe, there is an existing roadside ditch that outlets into the jurisdictional feature. This ditch has been shifted and lined with Class I rip rap. The proposed ditch outlets into the stream with a non-erosive velocity.
