It is my understanding that you specifically requested all e -mail correspondence on this matter. As the administrative assistant tasked with compiling this data and converting it to a digital format, I went back through the extensive file on this project to look for any e- mails. I also conducted a lengthy search through our state e -mail archive system for anything with the project name or number. I did not find any e -mails in the file (back in the day we would print out e -mails and place hard copies in the file). I would have to conclude that most, if not all, correspondence on this matter was conducted through normal mail (USPS) and /or through the consultant on the project at the time, Land Management Group. We are moving to a new system of allowing public access to our file system online. I have included several weblinks below that should help you in your search for information. Every piece of correspondence I could find is available in our Laserfiche online database. The only thing I am unable to scan is the very large plan sheets; we just do not have a copier or scanner able to handle the extremely large plan sheets that come in with some of these projects. It is nice that most of our clients are moving toward putting these on CD's for us; however in the Pecan Grove Marina case we only have the large hard copies here in our file. That said, if you have ANY difficulty opening the weblinks and searching /downloading /printing that data, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will try to find a better format that works for you. I can provide a document or 2 as needed; but due to the memory limitations of our stat e -mail system I cannot simply attach the entire Pecan Grove Marina file to an e- mail —our system will not let it go through. Please give the weblinks a try -we are attempting to make information access easier for the general public and our clients by putting it on the internet. However, if the links don't work let me or Roberto know and I will gather what information I can for you. Please remember that you are always welcome to come to our office in Washington and view the contents of the file yourself and make copies as you wish; I hope the weblinks are able to save you from that inconvenience to your busy schedule. Thank you for your time, and please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about this project. I will be more than happy to assist you with whatever data collection you need. This is the weblink for the entire file.... http: / /its.enr. state. nc. us / Weblink8 /o /fol /14823/Rowl.aspx If that doesn't work, here is a link to one of the documents in the file, you should be able to "work backwards" from this link if the one above doesn't work: http: / /its.enr. state. nc. us / Weblink8 /o /doc /14824/Pagel.aspx and another link to an approval letter: http: / /its.enr. state. nc. us/ Weblink8 /o /doc /26225/Pagel.aspx this is the main page of our search engine (in case the links above do not work at all): http: / /its.enr. state .nc.us /WebLink8 /Welcome.aspx click on NON -DOT project, click on the year 2007, then keep scrolling (I think it's page 17) where you would find 07 -0707 which is the Pecan Grove Marina project. Good luck, and please let me know if this works for you. We are still in the "beta testing" phase of this public internet portal.
