Subject: CAMA Dredge /Fill Permit Application for Cox Family Properties, LLC (Pecan
Grove Marina)
Pamlico County; North Carolina

On April 23, 2007 the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received.the'subject CAMA/Dredge &
Fill permit application for review. The application proposed impacts to expand the existing
upland basin through construction of 108 additional slips and construct additional infrastructure
at Pecan Grove Marina. This Office objected to the project and requested additional
information for a Dissolved Oxygen (DO) Model and Buffer Restoration Plan for the proposed
marina expansion.
On August 15, 2007 this Office received the requested DO model data for Pecan Grove IVarina
submitted by Land Management Group Inc. The data submitted indicates that there will not be
an adverse effect on water quality as result of marina expansion. A Buffer Restoration Plan
has also been submitted and approved; therefore, this agency has no objections to the
proposed project.
