I our h Street Charlotte, NC:. 28202 1`ax 70d.373.0473' This letter is to inform you that the City of Charlotte's Central Yard has exceeded its permit benchmark for total suspended solids (TSS) at Outfall 005 four times during the current permit tern. The NPDES Industrial Stormwater General Pen -nit NCG080000 standard for TSS is 100 mg/L. The following summarizes the exceedances that have occurred: Central Yard - Outfall 005 Permit Term - TSS Exceedances to date Date TSS (m /L) 9/29/2020 162 2/11/2021 130 3/25/2021 238 5/3/2021 510 e,. Outfall 005 is new and serves as a bypass from a new underground detention structure installed to help reduce polluted discharges from the site. It had not been cleaned out since construction, but a full cleanout and inspection was completed on May 21, 2021. Please note that regular inspection and maintenance will be done going forward.
