In accordance with the requirements of the Industrial Stormwater Permit NCS000578, sample results
received on July 9, 2020 exceeded the benchmark levels for copper and letter at Outfalls SW002 and
SW077. For each of these outfalls this is the fourth exceedance of a benchmark level and thus these
two outfalls are now in Tier 3 status. Duke Energy is reviewing these two outtails to better develop plans
to reduce the levels of copper through best management practices.
