41. Describe the overall project in detail, including indirect impacts and the type of equipment to be used:*
The project proposes to replace the epsting 3@30" corrugated metal pipe culvert with 2 @81"x59" corrugated aluminum pipe -arch with aluminum headwalls on the inlet and outlet.
Stream flow will be maintained during construction using a temporary pump around system. Impervious dikes and silt bags (special stilling basins) will be used to dewrater the work area.
The proposed culvert will be constructed at the same location as the epsting culvert. Class II riprap streambank stabilization is proposed on the banks of the inlet and outlet channel. An
erosion control permit is not required for this project, however an erosion control plan is included using standard erosion control practices.

E. Impact Justification and Mitigation
1. Avoidance and Minimization
la. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing the project:
Avoidance and minimization design efforts include headwalls at the inlet and outlet to minimize culvert length, minimizing roadway grade changes to
avoid extensive cut and fill slopes, and replacement of the culvert at the same location as the existing culvert.
1b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques:
Avoidance and minimization construction techniques include using impervious dikes and a pump -around operation in -lieu of a diversion channel, and
the use of silt bags (special stilling basin) in -lieu of a large excavated stilling basin.
2. Compensatory Mitigation for Impacts to Waters of the U.S. or Waters of the State
2a. Does the project require Compensatory Mitigation for impacts to Waters of the U.S. or Waters of the State?
