If in the future you wish to discharge wastewater to the State's surface waters, you must first apply for and receive a new NPDES permit. If you have any questions concerning this matter, simply reply to this message. The blowdown water is now plumbed into the sanitary sewer system. Attached is a letter from Joel Freeman [Winston Salem / Forsyth County Utilities Industrial Waste Control Supervisor] granting us permission to discharge into the sanitary sewer system. We request release from the requirement to maintain Permit NCG 500000. Your input is welcome. Please advise. Champion has requested to discharge the boiler water in small amounts into the sewer system. Industrial Waste Control has granted Champion to discharge the small amount of boiler water into the sewer system. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me at 336-397-7621.
