Good morning! I reached out to the driller (GEX) about the grout specs. They use a #1 Portland cement grout mixed with
5% bentonite powder. Let me know if you need any additional detail or if this meets the need? Thanks so much!

For the monitoring well application (received 7-12-21) submitted for 2748 Capital Boulevard and 2799 Brentwood Road
in Raleigh, NC -Wake County the following additional information is necessary to continue processing the application:
• In the well diagrams it is necessary that the horizon labeled as grout is identified as a specific grout type. The
well are required to be constructed with one of the approved grouts as specified by 15 NCAC 02C .0100. This
action can be completed by submitting updated well diagrams for the proposed wells or an email
correspondence that specifies the grout type utilized in the wells.
