Signature:1 _ Date: `I'AV2j___ FORM: FTA 04-16 Page 5 of 5 PROJECT NARRATIVE SOUTH LANVALE LIFT STATION FLOW INCREASE BRUNSWICK REGIONAL WATER AND SEWER AUTHORITY BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project proposes to increase the permitted flow at the South Lanvale Lift Station, a lift station owned and operated by Brunswick Regional H2GO. This lift station is located in the town of Leland in Brunswick County, North Carolina. The station has seen pumped flows higher than what is currently permitted, and with moderate growth expected in the area tributary to this lift station, H2GO is requesting to increase the permitted flow for this lift station to be proactive. Based on the information currently known, this pump station is rated at 180 gallons per minute (GPM). The permit for the collection system and pump stations in proximity to this station, including this station, was initially acquired in August 2003, as Permit No. W00016854. Multiple permit modifications have been accepted since. At this time, based on the current operating conditions and projected development in this area, the permitted flow is too low. Accordingly, Brunswick Regional H2GO is requesting to increase the South Lanvale Lift Station's permitted flow to 250 GPM. Note that this development is classified as future flow, so no new wastewater is being generated by this project (questions 7 and 8 in section V1 of the Fast Track Sewer System Extension Application). Note also that the lift station will utilize the existing force main, so no new force main is being installed as part of this project. The table below compares the existing conditions to the proposed conditions upon permit modification approval. No other operational changes are requested as a part of this permit modification. As stated above, there will be no new flow or redirected flow associated with this project. The existing force main will continue to be used to transmit flow. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to Report Spam. Good afternoon Dean, We have gotten to the bottom of it in terms of understanding what has happened with the permit numbers over time. Long story short is that a previous H2GO staff member changed the names of the numbered pump stations to fit his desired order, rather than putting the correctly -named station with the number it reflects in the permit. Scott did some digging and has now reassociated the names of each station with the station numbers and flows/force mains/etc on the permit. To that end, we have prepared a spreadsheet to show the State what numbered station has what name. This way if someone outside of the parties involved here requests to see the flow of, say, the Holly Hills PS, both 112GO and the State will know that it is Station #4 being discussed. To finalize this request in particular, Scott has determined that the South Lanvale PS is Station #10. Please modify the permitted flow on Station #10 from 180 gpm to 250 gpm. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns as you review! Thanks, Peter Galan, PE Project Engineer (919) 828-0531 x840 • Office (919) 834-3589 • Fax 120 N.
