Inspection Summary:
This facility was inspected on July 14, 2021, in response to a Notice of Intent under NCG100000, as well as a
Representative Outfall Request. At the time of inspection, the facility was implementing a SWPPP, and conducting
semi-annual Analytical and Qualitative monitoring. No major issues were found, and permit coverage for the facility will be
recommended. However, the permittee will need to update the current SWPPP so that it is compliant with the new permit
that was issued on July 1, 2021.
Furthermore, the drainage areas for Outfalls 002, 003, and 004 involve similar industrial operations as Outfall 001, with the
exception that the area draining to Outfall 001 involves more vehicle traffic. On site records indicate that Outfall 001 is the
more critical outfall, due to a benchmark exceedance of Total Suspended Solids in 2019. It should be noted that corrective
actions were taken to mitigate said exceedance, and later monitoring records indicate no benchmarks were exceeded for
any parameter at Outfall 001, or any other outfall, after 2019. Therefore, it will also be recommended that the facility be
granted Representative Outfall Status, such that Outfall 001 represents Outfalls 002, 003, 004. However, the permittee must
still conduct Qualitative Monitoring at all outfalls as specified in the current permit.
