Columbia Carolina operates under Certificate of Coverage Number NCG210136. Stormwater samples were collected on 5/12/2021 from Outfalls 41, 42 and #3. All lab results were below benchmarks values. Outfall #2 and Outfall 45 are in Tier Two and will continue to be sampled monthly until three consecutive lab results below benchmark. This sampling event is the second consecutive lab result below benchmarks for Outfall Q. Due to a miscommunication with the lab and labels, Outfalls #4, #5, and #8 were not sampled. Sampling was attempted after finding out about the miscommunication however a significant rain event did not occur during business hours. Additional protocols have been put into place to monitor sampling activities and review received materials from the lab. NCDEQ has confirmed that consecutive sampling will start over for Outfall #5 in June and will continue until three consecutive lab results are below benchmark.
