Bill- that's an accurate summary. Nutrient allocation will also be reserved in Clariant permit until future transfer to CMU
is requested. I've copied Rob Krebs, who is Supervisor of the Mooresville Regional Office.

Subject: Meeting with you yesterday
Hello Tom,
Thank you for taking the time to meet with me yesterday to discuss upcoming operational changes at Clariant's Mount
Holly East Plant.
As I indicated yesterday our main tenant, Coalogix (aka SCR Tech), will likely not renew its lease and be exiting the site
later this year. Also, Clariant is evaluating reducing or phasing out its Third Party Waste business in the future.
Stormwater, and contaminated groundwater will continue to be treated. From our discussion, it is my understanding
that these anticipated events which will reduce waste loading will not require us to apply for a permit modification
unless Clariant wants to have the facility downgraded from its current Grade 4 Classification. Any facility changes will be
reflected in the next renewal application.
I also described potential facility modifications to align our operations with future treatment needs. You indicated there
is no longer a requirement for a private facility to obtain an Authorization to Construct for such modifications, but that
Clariant should discuss any anticipated physical modifications to our system with the DWQ Regional Office.
Please let me know if I have misunderstood any of our discussions or if you have any questions.
Thanks and best regards,
Bill Archer
