Box 10098 Charlotte, North Carolina 28201 SUBJECT: Permit No. NC0004375 Authorization to Construct Martin Marietta Corporation Sodyeco Division Mecklenburg County Dear Mr. Eccles: Pita' plans and specifications for the subject project have been reviewed and found to be satisfactory. Authorization is hereby granted for the construction of additions to Sodyeco's existing wastewater treatment facilities to include six (6) aeration mixers, and an effluent Parshall flume with flow recording and monitoring facilities to the 25 MG equalization basin, 420 GPM filter backwash and 2,200 GPM alkaline lift stations each including dual pumps high-water alarm, and appurtenant piping. This Authorization to Construct shall be subject to the following conditions: 1. Phase II improvements shall include complete collection and containment facilities to divert all spills and filter backwash wastewater through the backwash pumping station. 2. This is a Class III Wastewater Treatment Plant which requires the operator in responsible charge to hold a valid Grads III Certificate. This Authorization to Construct shall be subject to revocation unless the waste- water treatment facilities and additions are constructed in accordance with the con- ditions and limitations specified in Permit No. NC0004375. Also, enclosed is a copy of WPC Form #50 "Cost of Wastewater Treatment Works." This form is to be completed and returned to this office within thirty (30) days after the project is completed. Cont'd.
