The building located at the site is in use by Nature's Earth producing pelletized wood fuel for residential wood/pellet buming stoves. Site conditions, in and around the facility, have not changed since the preparation and submittal of the permit application for issuance of the injection permit. The site is fenced with a on -duty security guard that limits access to the plant site and specifically the area that the proposed injection activities are to be undertaken. Downgradient of the injection site is the rail spur that is adjacent to the facility and immediately adiacent to the rail spur is undeveloped woodlands and wetlands. No residual structures exist within 1000' feet of the proposed injection area. The area of Laurinburg that Eaton/Nature's Earth is located has several other industrial sites currently undergoing groundwater remediation. See attached map with sites, location relative to Eaton/Nature's Earth and DWO permit for remedial activities.
