THE INJECTION AND WITHDRAWAL WATER WELLS

The Tank Farm Remediation System consists of a series of seven- (7) injection water wells located on the
south side of the Tank Farm Area and a series of fourteen (14) withdrawal water wells located on the north
side of the Tank Farm Area.
Injection Water Well System
The injection water well system operated with the DPW Water - Ultraviolet Light Disinfection system
during the period.
Daily operational data are collected by the Shipping Department and reported to the Environmental Affairs
DcpartmencThe total mon3hly and quarterly volumes of water injected as well as the month end water
level in the Water Level Control Tank are:

Withdrawal Well System
The withdrawal water well pumps are monitored daily by the area Maintenance Department and
preventative maintenance work is performed as needed. The total monthly and quarterly withdrawal water
volumes for the period are:

Some additional_short_periods_of_planned_do_wntime_for preventative_maintenance,_pipe_headencleaning,
and troubleshooting on individual pumps in the fourteen well system were experienced. Details of these
activities are:
Confined Sand Formation Withdrawal Well (SWW) Pumps
All Pumps were flushed on 8/15, 8/21, 8/28, 9/13, 9/30, 10/17 and 10/31. On 9/12 changed filters on
compressor and dryer. On 9/14 compressor down switched to plant air. On 9/27 switched to new
compressor. On 10/6 oil leak on compressor, repaired leak, ordered parts and switched to plant air. On
10/24 the compressor was brought on-line. On 10/26 changed filters on compressor.

SWW-2: On 8/14 reset pump. On 8/21 changed pump. On 8/30 reset pump. On 9/5 acid washed pump.
On 9/7 changed pump. On 9/21 changed counter. On 10/3 changed pump.
