I Bolivia, NC 28422 Subject: Variance Request Approval Eagle Run (Permit No. WQ0041613) Brunswick County Dear Mr. Pinnix: The Division of Water Resources (Division) has reviewed the variance request as submitted on May 4, 2021, with additional information received July 2, 2021. The Division will grant the request for the existing gravity sewer that is within the 18-inch vertical separation requirement from a storm drainage line in accordance with the provisions for alternative designs under 15A NCAC 02T.0105(n): 1) Pursuant to the variance request received May 4, 2021 from Development Resource Group of the Carolinas, LLC, on behalf of Brunswick County, with additional information received July 2, 2021, a variance is granted for approximately 126 linear feet of existing 8-inch gravity sewer between SSMH B4 and SSMH B5 that is within the 18-inch required vertical separation from an existing 18-inch storm drainage line, as indicated on the provided plans and supporting documents. Regardless of the variance approval, in the event that the wastewater collection facilities fail to perform satisfactorily, including the creation of nuisance conditions, the Permittee shall take immediate corrective action, including those as may be required by this Division, such as the construction of additional or replacement facilities. All other elements of this project shall be constructed in accordance with all applicable rules and statues including, 15A NCAC 2T; the Division of Water Resources’ (Division) Gravity Sewer Minimum Design Criteria adopted February 12, 1996 as applicable; and the Division’s Minimum Design Criteria for the Fast-Track Permitting of Pump Stations and Force Mains adopted June 1, 2000 as applicable.
