Erosion and Sedimentation Control PLAN OPTIONS
The Town of Weddington Erosion and Sedimentation Control Ordinance requires that the minimum erosion control
measures be installed when the disturbed area on a tract of land is less than one -acre disturbed, unless otherwise exempt
from installation of measuresldevices or ESC Plan Approval is required. Furthermore, no person shall initiate any land -
disturbing activity on a tract if more than one -acre is to be uncovered unless thirty (30) days or more prior to initiating the
activity, a Plan for such activity is filed with and approved by the Town. Failure to install andlor maintain erosion control
measures/devices may result in penalties of up to $5,000.00 per day (Sect. 58.619 (a)).
