Existing land use is an existing 40'6"L x 20'W timber floor on steel I-beam bridge on a two lane secondary road.Project site is located in a rural residential area with agriculture fields
nearby with forested land tracts.

Project is to replace an obsolete and deteriorating wood floor,steel I-beam bridge structure with a box beam bridge unit.
4i.Describe the overall project in detail,including indirect impacts and the type of equipment to be used:*
NCDOT contractor will install erosion and sediment control measures.NCDOT contractor will install diversion devices.New box beam bridge will be installed.Rip-rap will be placed for
bank stabilization.Small UT to Middle Creek will be relocated,matted and replanted.Bank stabilization materials will be permanently installed once final grading allows.The deteriorating
bridge will be removed and stream banks will be matted and seeded.Temporary impacts will be restored.The project will be constructed utilizing the following equipment:crane,
excavator,dump trucks,paving equipment,pumps and hand tools.

The existing bridge is being replaced with a structure that is adequate for traffic needs in the same general disturbed location.The box beam bridge
was designed for the minimum size criteria to ensure conveyance of traffic on the secondary road.

The on-site stream(Middle Creek)will be slightly diverted in two locations to install rip-rap bank stabilization and for the removal of the existing bridge.
The small UT to Middle Creek will also be dewatered during the relocation phase.Erosion and sediment control measures will be installed prior to
ground disturbance.Both of these measures will aid in the prevention of sediment into downstream habitats.
