Samples (results attached) were collected at the influent (sample #AC83032) and effluent (sample #AC83031) ports. The sample analysis report indicates that the following substances (but not limited to) were detected in the influent sample (#AC83032): Sulfate was detected at 1300 parts per million (mg/L) and manganese was detected at 50 parts per billion (ug/L). The detection of sulfate exceeds the 15A NCAC 02L .0202 groundwater standard for sulfate established at 250 mg/L The detection of manganese at 50 ug/L is at the maximum allowable concentration under the 02L rule. A copy of the test results will be sent to the DWR, Classifications and Standards Branch for an evaluation regarding the water sample. A health risk evaluation of the results has not been completed given the water is not utilized for human consumption (DWR inspection 10-25-20). If you have any questions regarding the results, please contact me at (9I9) 791-4200.
