1. On 6-04-2021, the city had a Sanitary Sewer overflow (SSO) that resulted in 12,600
gallons of untreated wastewater spilling into Cottage Creek due to a severe rain
event. The storm came through resulting in a rain fall of 6.34 — 7.25 inches during
the event. All City pump station were operating as designed and there was no
equipment failure. The spill was caused by I&I and inflow entering our sewer system.
