Signahue: Date: _ VlSe S, 2< FORM: ETA 04-16 Page 5 of 5 SMITHVILLE PARK PHASE 1 ESTIMATED FLOWRATES FOR NCDEQ PERMITTING BASED ON WATER BILLING RECORDS FOR THE EXISTING SMITHVILLE PARK NOTE: The basis for this approach is 15A NCAC 02T.0114(f), CALCULATION DATA/SEQUENCE: 1. Average day Flow for peak month (AFPM) from water billing records for Smithvllle Park for the time period between 8/13/14 and 8/10/15 = 533 gallons. (See attached.) 2. Peak day Flow (PDF) estimated at 2 x AFPM = 1,066 gallons. 3. Number of parking spaces in existing park = 236. 4. Q per Parking space > > > > 1,066 gallons / 236 parking spaces = 4.52 gallons / parking space. S. Number of parking spaces added in Phase 1 expansion = 282. 6. Estimated peak day Flow for Phase I park expansion = 282 parking spaces x 4.52 gallons / parking space = 1,275. FLOW TRIBUTARY TO PUMP STATION # 1 (NEW RESTROOMS) = 1,27S GPD. FLOW TRIBUTARY TO PUMP STATION # 2 (EXISTING CONCESSION STAND/RESTROOMS) = 1,066 GPD. TOTAL FLOW = 2,341 GPD *May 2021 Proposed Concession Stand/Restroom Building at Smithville Park Flow Rate It is the opinion of the designer that the proposed project will not increase the daily flow rate at the park (no parking spaces are being added as part of the proposed project, thus there should be no increase in the park's utilization). 1,066 gallons per day will be used as the flow tributary to existing pump station #2 in advance of proposed pump station #3 coming on-line. Based on the proposed building's location within the park and the number of existing parking spaces that can reasonably be assumed to associate with the new building, it is estimated that the new concession stand/restroom building will take on 50% of existing pump station #2's daily flow. The daily flow rate to the proposed pump station is therefore 633 gallons per day. Revised 5/13/2021 by ZPR Compass Pointe Engineering, PA DMC Shallotte, NC 6/14/16
