The terminal is a bulk liquid petroleum/chemical storage terminal and has no refining or production capability. There have not been any significant changes at the terminal since the last permit was issued. Methanol monitoring was added to the 2017 permit as a result of a release that occurred in 2015. Over the permit period, Methanol has been nondetect except for 3 instances. In 2 of these cases, BOD5 was also elevated. We request that Methanol be removed as a monitoring parameter and allow BOD5 to be an indication of organic concentration in the effluent.
