X Yes No Source of the Upset/Spill/Bypass (Location or Treatment Unit): Spill occurred behind tertiary sand filter building. A 3" PVC reclaimed line broke at the joint. The line was underground about 3 feet. Cause or Reason for the Upset/Spill/Bypass: An old 3" schedule 40 reclaim line broke at the joint. The line was used to connect our old system to the new system. The line was old and the glue gave way. Describe the Repairs Made or Actions Taken: Valves were shut to stop flow and the area was dug up and the line was capped and taken out of service. A pump was set up to pump water back to an EQ tank and then back into our system. Action Taken or Proposed to be Taken to Prevent Occurrences: Line was capped and taken out of service. This was an old line and is no longer needed. Additional Comments About the Event: This event had no environmental impact.
