This inspection was conducted to determine if the facility is being operated and maintained in compliance with permit number WQCSD0465. Heath Wiseman (ORC) and Christian Montgomery (BORC) were present during the inspection. Fats, Oils, and Grease: It is recommended that the utility require connections with grease traps to clean said traps on a regular schedule. SSOs: There have not been any reported SSOs at the lift station or from the collection system. Manholes: The manhole receiving from the restaurant grease trap had excessive buildup of grease. Inspectors recommended monitoring the restaurant grease cleaning schedule more closely. Inspectors also spoke with the General Manager of the restaurant regarding the issue. Pump Station: There is only one lift station, which has duplex submersible pumps, visual, audio, and telemetry. Moderate grease buildup was noted in the wet well with excessive buildup on the floats. Grease was cleaned from the floats while inspectors were on site. Inspectors recommended that the grease be cleaned from the wet well. The floats were tested and operated the pumps properly, and telemetry successfully notified the operators when the high-level float was tested. The logbooks were not sufficient and should be adjusted to include more comprehensive information reflective of the line items in this report. Inspectors sent optional log sheets to Mr. Neil Reece (CWS Area Manager) as a suggestion for comprehensive documentation. Emergency generator: The lift station has a diesel emergency generator, with an automatic transfer switch. The generator exercises weekly and is tested under load twice per year. The generator was tested during the inspection and operated properly.
