No, there's no real special documentation for that. I would recommend noting it somewhere on the DMR that the
previous period was missed, and this one is a make-up, or else include a cover letter explaining that.

Based on the current guidance to minimize the spread of COVID-19, the Department of Environmental Quality has
adjusted operations to protect the health and safety of the staff and public. Many employees are working remotely or
are on staggered shifts. To accommodate these staffing changes, all DEQ office locations are limiting public access to
appointments only. Please check with the appropriate staff before visiting our offices, as we may be able to handle your
requests by phone or email. We appreciate your patience as we continue to serve the public during this challenging
time.

Thanks Bethany,
I understand.
It looks like there's a slim chance of some rain tomorrow. Worst case I will definitely collect on the next rainfall to show
good faith
Is there any additional documentation I need to add with the sample I get, in the event it is out of the compliance
period, or just the normal documentation with the date enough?
Thank you for your help,
-Nick

Hi, Nick,
You don't really have an option as far as compliance, unless there's an event to sample before July 1. We always
recommend planning to get a sample early on in the monitoring period to avoid a higher risk of missing a sampling
opportunity near the end.
If there is no event to sample, I would recommend taking a sample at the next earliest opportunity as a "make-up," and
then sample again to fulfill that next monitoring period. The make-up sample does not fulfill compliance, but it will
show a good faith effort to obtain a sample under your permit and give you something to evaluate site conditions
with. Any compliance action that would result in future inspections or evaluations for failing to monitor during the time
period would be at the discretion of the regional office, and an effort to collect a sample as soon as possible after the
missed period would probably be viewed favorably. However, there's not much else you can do if you miss it.
I hope this helps.

Hi Bethany,
Sorry to bother you again, but it does not look like we will be getting any rain before the 30th
Do I have any options? Can I do a no flow report or something to still be within compliance?
This is my first time missing the permit deadline for sample reporting. Please reach out to me at your earliest
convenience
My number is 631-987-7945
