The North Carolina Division of Water Resources conducted an inspection of 10590 Lower Alarka Road
on 6/24/2021. This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with
the conditions and limitations specified in NPDES WW Permit No. NCG551010. The findings and
comments noted during this inspection are provided in the enclosed copy of the inspection report
entitled "Compliance Inspection Report".

There were no significant issues or findings noted during the inspection and therefore, a response to this
inspection report is not required.

Lauren Armeni with the Asheville Regional Office conducted a compliance evaluation inspection of the
single-family wastewater disposal system that services 10590 Lower Alarka Road. This inspection was
conducted to determine whether the system is being operated and maintained in compliance with
General NPDES Permit No. NCG550000.
Prior to the inspection, Ms. Armeni spoke with the previous owner, Mr. Gary Shuler, and he confirmed
that a septic system was never installed on the property because he was going to rebuild and never
did. The property appears to be vacant still, with an old log cabin on the property that is abandoned.
Please fill out the provided Change of Ownership form and mail it to the address on the form. Once
this form is submitted, an updated Certificate of Coverage will be provided to you.
