I am submitting this letter as a courtesy notification that Unimin Corporation's
Crystal Facility (NPDES Permit No. NC0084620) has renegotiated an agreement with The
Feldspar Corporation to continue to allow all waste effluent to report to TFC's waste
treatment facility. Please be advised that Unimin's Crystal Facility's lab has been certified by
the Lab Certification Division and will continue to remain certified. If in the future Unimin
decides to pursue initiating direct discharge of effluent to the North Toe River, we will
submit another courtesy notification to your office and follow the requirements outlined in
the NPDES permit. If you have any questions or comments regarding this matter, please
