Hi Eric,
You will still receive credit for any reported activities regardless of which permit the tasks are
performed under, and there is no reason not to begin the tasks in the Draft SWMP. The new permit
only has a few new requirements, it essentially the permit you already have provided in a new
format. Most of the comments are editorial in nature to clarify language, but you have done a good
job of spanning things out to provide time for planning and funding. So, continue that approach for
any large tasks that may be added.
DEQ staff have many competing priorities, so it is not possible to say when the new permit will be
issued. However, the goal is for the new permit to become effective on July 1, 2022 so that it synchs
with the fiscal year.

Hi Jeanette,
Thank you for sending... This hits us at an awkward time with regard to our end of Fiscal Year... I will
be having McGill Assoc. see if they can get the SWMP draft updated prior to June 30 so it can be paid
for under current fiscal year
With regard to the delay in permit issuance/SWMP approval, would you anticipate it will be
approved in early 2022? Or 2nd half? Or is there any way to know...
I got a budget approved under the assumption that we would be live with our new permit effective
July 1, 2021. So hopefully any work that gets accomplished in the first half of our next fiscal year
(July to Dec) can be reportable the next time we do an annual report... (Which I am now assuming
will be in August of 2022 since we are still under SWMP review?)
Thanks
Eric

Hi Eric,
Staff did not complete the Draft SWMP review, but I am attaching a mark-up of the unofficial
comments compiled to date FYI. The attached is in Word Track Changes format (strikethrough and
underline) and the green highlighted text is the updated standard template language from early
2021. You may want to update your Draft SWMP and resubmit.
