Ms. Powell,
The Town of Haw River received DEQ's MS4 Audit report from May 21, 2021. While we have
concerns about some of the items listed in the audit report, we concur that our MS4 Stormwater
Program can be improved. As such, the Town intends to comply with the Notice of Deficiency
issued on May 21, 2021.
Per your follow-up email on June 16, 2021, we will be submitting our current comprehensive
stormwater management plan prior to August 23, 2021. An application for a new permit and our
new draft comprehensive stormwater management plan will be submitted prior to September 27,
2021.
In the future, please provide emailed copies of any correspondence, even if a hard copy is
mailed.
We appreciate your work and look forward to working with you on the upcoming CSWMP
preparation.
