In reference to the violations listed for the April 2021 Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) for the subject facility
the Daily Maximum and the Monthly Average exceedances are due to higher than normal daily flows while the
system was still below the optimal temperature for stabilization of the incoming stream. The higher than normal
flows were due to some rain received during this period and the lack of space to hold the amount of the incoming
stream from a full campground because of the Easter holiday. The high fecal coliform was due to the high turbidity
not allowing the UV light to penetrate to achieve the desired results. In anticipation of problems of this nature we
had the septic tank pumped before this to try and add some space to help the system hold. However, this was on a
Friday and the tank did refill before the holiday weekend was over. The system has recovered well and the
temperature is up so the system is preforming as it should.
I hope this will be taken into consideration when addressing enforcement action forthese violations.
