This letter is being submitted in response to the Notice of Deficiency (NOD) dated June 8, 2021. This NOD was in result of an
inspection done by Wes bell, where it was found that the City of Mount Holly failed to sample American & Efird for the parameter of
TTO during the year of 2020.
In response to the NOD the pretreatment staff has implemented a schedule with the contract lab to have a dedicated special sampling
event for the TTO parameter. This schedule will include all 3 Permitted SIU's and will be set for the first week of March and
September to allow for time for any other sampling that may need to occur before the semi-annual period expires.
Other Notes and Comments:
The LTMP is in the process of being updated to reflect the correct detection levels for TSS and Total Phosphorus.
The EDMR reports have been checked and revised where needed to reflect the correct detection levels that are listed.
I would like to thank Wes Bell for coming down and for conducting the inspection on a timely manner With these inspections it
assists us and helps find where we can strive to do better.
Best Regards,
Doug Shoutd
