I misunderstood how they were using the proposed dry detention pond. I initially thought it was in line with the
proposed sand filter (great design). However, it is actually a stand -alone device to treat the entire 23.7 ac MRO Facility
portion of the site (not acceptable). So it is another hold letter, not an approval as we'd both hoped. I think they may
have an option to do infiltration though in the same footprint (much like the Ashley site).

The proposed dry detention pond for the MRO Facility portion of the project is not sufficient to
meet the stormwater standard of 85% TSS removal required per GC 3886/3890. Please provide
a stormwater management plan that removes 85% of the TSS from the entire MRO site. The
DWQ highly recommends that you contact Annette Lucas DWQ at (919) 807 -6381 to discuss the
options available for treating stormwater on the MRO portion of the site.
