Reference your letter dated April 25 2013, regarding the Long Branch Stream
Mitigation site located adjacent to the I -73 Greensboro Western Loop near the I- 73/I -40
interchange, in Guilford County, North Carolina. This site is being utilized by the North
Carolina Department of Transportation as compensatory mitigation for impacts to
jurisdictional waters of the United States authorized by Department of Army (DA) permit
Action ID No. 200321137 associated with the construction of the Greensboro Western
Urban Loop, TIP No. U- 2524AC.
By copy of this letter, we concur that you have completed referenced DA permit
requirements to monitor the stream mitigation site for channel stability by visual
observation on a biannual basis for five years or until success criteria were met.
Accordingly, no further monitoring of the site will be required.
