June 19, 2007 Ms. Cyndi Karoly NCDWQ 1650 Mail Service Center Raleigh, NC 27699-1650 Subject Property: Cedar Pointe Crossing DWQ Project # 07-0379 Buncombe County, North Carolina Gashes Creek [040302, 6-78-21, C] Dear Ms. Karoly, Enclosed are five copies of the additional information you requested for Cedar Pointe Crossing in Buncombe County, North Carolina. The original Nationwide Permit 39 and 12 application was submitted February 14, 2007, and then a modification was sent on April 30, 2007 in response to DWQ comments. Clearwater Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) received comments from the N.C. Division of Water Quality (DWQ) on -May 21, 2007 regarding the stormwater management plan designed to remove 85 percent TSS according to the DWQ Stormwater BMP Manual. In response to comments contained in the DWQ letter, the applicant has developed a preliminary stormwater management plan that shows the types, sizes and locations of the proposed stormwater BMPs on the site plan. For each proposed BMP, the applicant has included a DWQ worksheet for the BMP with all items in Part I: Project Information. The applicant understands that DWQ approval of this preliminary stormwater management plan may result is obtaining a conditional 401 certification. The applicant will submit a final stormwater management plan for express review within 90 days of receipt of the conditional 401 certification for written approval. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or comments at (828) 698-9800. Thank you, ~ ~~ C/~~z~f% ~Q~ R. dement Riddle, P.W.S. ~ Df Principle SUN 2 0 2007 °~"R • wary .
