Subject: NC0081621 Technical Correction
Hi Corey,
Please find attached a technical correction for the Muddy Creek WWTP permit. It was brought to our
attention that, according to the issued permit, instream conductivity monitoring was not waived due to
their participation in the Yadkin -Pee Dee River Basin Association like other instream monitoring
parameters. This was a typo, and the footnote notation has been added to the effluent pages.
Thanks and happy Friday!
Cassidy

Dear Mr. VonCannon:
The Division issued a final permit modification to your facility on May 10, 2021. In response to
the discovery of a missing footnote annotation regarding instream conductivity monitoring, the
footnote annotation has been correctly added in Sections A. (1.) and A. (2.) Effluent Limitations
and Monitoring Requirements of your permit. Accordingly, we hereby forward the modified
permit pages (Pages 4 and 6 of 13) to amend your permit. Please insert the changed pages into
your permit and disregard the old pages.
All other terms and conditions in the original permit remain unchanged and in full effect. These
modifications are issued pursuant to the requirements of North Carolina General Statute 143-215.1
and the Memorandum of Agreement between North Carolina and the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency dated December 6, 1983.
If any parts, measurement frequencies or sampling requirements contained in this permit are
unacceptable to you, you have the right to an adjudicatory hearing upon written request within
thirty (30) days following receipt of this letter. This request must be in the form of a written
petition, conforming to Chapter 150B of the North Carolina General Statutes, and filed with the
Office of Administrative Hearings (6714 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, North Carolina 27699-
6714). Unless such demand is made, this decision shall be final and binding.
Please note that this permit is not transferable except after notice to the Division. The Division
may require modification or revocation and reissuance of the permit. This permit does not affect
the legal requirements to obtain other permits which may be required by the Division of Water
Resources or any other Federal, State, or Local governmental regulations.

5. Effluent monitoring and limitation only apply if chlorine or a chlorine derivative is added to the waste stream during
treatment. The Division shall consider all effluent TRC values reported below 50 µg/L to be in compliance with the permit.
However, the Permittee shall continue to record and submit all values reported by a North Carolina certified laboratory
