The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is proposing to construct a right turn lane on US 19E at the
NC 194 intersection in Avery County, NC (STIP No. R-5911). Vaughn and Melton Consulting Engineers, Inc. has
completed the Preliminary Jurisdictional Determination (PJD) Package for the project for NCDOT Division 11. I have
reviewed, signed, and attached the PJD. Please let me know if you have any questions, require any additional
information, or would like to schedule a site visit to review the delineations.
