Dear Mr. Thrrinton f
I am writing in regards to the NOV (2021-PC-0300)of May 13, 2021 for my farm, M&D
Soar Farm 1- 2 on April 20, 2021. As stated previously, one flush tank on one of ray
houses ran over that morning sometime e between :oo am and :oo am. My employees
reported for work before 5:00 am and the flush tank had not run over at that time. My
technical specialist, Curtis Barwick, arrived at 8:30 am anddiscovered that the tank had
run over. He immediately turned off all the recycle pumps. My employees discovered
that the overflow pipe had stopped up and alleged the tank to run over. This has been
corrected. fly employees check for blockages in my flush tanks weekly and we have
placed timers on the recycle pump so that it will not dump when no one is at the farm.
The only wastewater seem was on the path and any wastewater that may have entered
the woods quickly dried up. Thankfully the area in question is not a wetland. 1 hope that
this overflow will not be considered ar violation that will Cause fines since there was no
degradation of grater quality and since it was discovered and reported during your visit.
My staff is aware that upon discovery of any incident such as this that they will
immediately notify your office and begin cleanup.
If you need further information regard-Ing this, please call me at 910-590-7830. Thank
you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
James Michael Dope
