Subject: Carl Riley Farm Facility No. 82-546
Dear Mr. Allen,
MAY 14 2019
WQROS
Please consider the following corrective actions that have been taken, since the inspection on March 14,
2019, when making a decision to seek further enforcement action.
Violation 1: Pearl millet has been planted for this crop cycle and the WUP is being reviewed by a
Technical Specialist to determine the appropriate cropping system to be planted in the fall.
Violation 2: Irrigation equipment has been repaired and on March 21, 2019 the old irrigation system
was disconnected from the designed system.
Violation 3: In the future, all irrigation events will be according to the CAWMP.
Violation 4: Land application events will be recorded on the proper IRR 2 form for each irrigation
event. Updated forms will be submitted when the new sample sent April 11, 2019 is received, prior to
May 31, 2019 deadline.
Violation 5: Land application events will be recorded on the proper IRR 2 form for each irrigation
event. Updated forms will be submitted when the new sample sent April 11, 2019 is received, prior to
May 31, 2019 deadline.
Violation 6: Solid set system has been disconnected from the designed irrigation system. Low areas on
the lagoon embankment have been re -graded; the lagoon marker is at proper elevation. Calibration
documentation will be sent prior to May 31, 2019.
In the future, I am in the process of trying to sell this farm to a potential buyer and if all goes well I will
no longer own this farm.
Sincerely,
Carl Riley
