Good Morning Ian!
Thank you very much for the above approval! My clients will be wicked happy too! _)
I did notice, however, one small problem with the approved stream impacts - 32 linear feet of stream impact (at
Impact Site #4) was listed as permanent impact (pipe extension) with concurrent temporary dewatering on the
PCN submitted. The approval, however, only lists this impact site as temporary, so therefore, the permanent
impact numbers don't add up. Do I need to submit a formal letter to your office requesting an amendment to the
PCN? Or can I just submit you this email requesting the correction? You let me know what works, ok?
And thanks again...
Nik

Ok, this will be the last question I have about this approval, I promise! I double checked the Buffer impacts and
the approval calculated the buffer impacts without the wetland in buffer areas. My concern is this -based on
the approval it appears that the approval only allows for 10,049 sq. ft. of impact in Zone 1 and 6,408 sq. ft. in
Zone 2 when we requested 10,396 sq. ft. in Zone 1 and 7,042 sq. ft. in Zone 2. For the purposes of mitigation, I
subtracted out the wetland area because it was being mitigated for under the wetland section however, the
wetland area that is "in the buffer" will need to be impacted and the approval makes it appear like it can't (since
the amount of buffer impact approved is short 347 sq. ft. in Zone 1 and 634 sq. ft. in zone 2 which is the exact
amount of "wetland in buffer.") So, for my second request, can you amend the 401 approval to reflect the
correct amount of buffer impact (10,396 in Zone 1 and 7,042 in Zone 2)?
If you need to, call me... I realize this is probably confusing the issue doing this thru emails...
Thanks
Nik
