The Compliance Evaluation Inspection was conducted by Mark Brantley, Environmental Senior Specialist, of the Fayetteville Regional Office. The facility was found to be in Compliance with permit NC0037508. The cooperation of Mr. Rex Downs, Grade IV Backup ORC, and Ms. Jana Scherer, Laboratory Supervisor, was greatly appreciated. As a reminder, preservation of the Waters of the State can only be achieved through consistent NPDES Permit compliance. Comments • Facility was clean and neat in appearance at the time of the inspection. Construction activities for the facility's upgrade have been completed. • One of the three primary clarifiers is currently out of service due to a valve that needs repair. This repair appears to be complicated and could be costly resulting in this clarifier being offline for a period of time. • Also one of the facility's two bar screens is also out of service for some extensive repair work. Please respond in writing by October 31, 2013 with a proposed plan and timeline as to when these treatment units will be repaired and placed back into service.
