Staff from the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) conducted a stormwater inspection
on June 2, 2021 as part of a requested inspection of your facility. The assistance provided by
Mr. Russ Trotterduring the inspection was greatly appreciated. The inspection report is attached.
Findings during the inspection were as follows:
1. Certificate of Coverage (COC) No. NCG030290 under NPDES General Permit
NCG210000 was issued to Boise Cascade Wood Products, LLC to discharge
stormwater runoff to Fishing CReek, a C, stream, in the Roanoke River Basin.
2. The facility has developed and implemented a stormwater pollution prevention plan
(SPPP). A review of the plan indicated that it included all components required by the
general permit.
3. Semi-annual qualitative and analytical monitoring has been conducted at two of four
stormwater discharge outfalls (SDOs), as required by the General Permit and in
accordance with the representative outfall status. The analytical results at both
outfalls show no high readings for any parameter.
4. Both SDOs were observed and found accessible. No undue difficulties with access to
outfalls.

Inspection Summary:
We walked the site with Russ Trotter and talked about the potential for getting a dormant status at the facility so that
sampling outfalls can be suspended. Everything looked good except the wash bay area has 55 gal. drums, 5gal buckets and
a polly vessel that should be removed or stored properly in doors. A sign should be displayed at the wash bay area that
prohibts the washing of vehicles or equipment until dormant status has ended
