Dear Mr. Boss:

Thank you for providing feedback regarding your recent inspection of the GGCC Utility
W WTP. In response to the notices of deficiency mentioned in the report, we would like
to offer the following information:
The bar screen in question is in the process of being fabricated by Avery Welding
and Machinery. We will advise when the installation has been completed. The
fabrication has been in process and we expect the project to be completed shortly;
the materials shortage due to the pandemic and delays of receipt of materials have
caused delays in completion.
There are no operational tertiary filters at the plant; the list of plant equipment is
outdated as the filters have not been in use for several years. If it is acceptable, we
would request that we update the equipment description at the plant upon the next
permit renewal. The plant has not exceeded limits for BOD or TSS in recent
memory; the plant continues to meet limits on both parameters.
Iron Mountain Construction has been retained to complete repairs on the concrete
in the area of the leak. In addition, possible upgrades and/or replacement options
of the plant are being explored via consultations with McGill Associates. Once a
finite date for repair and/or replacement are solidified, we will update the DEQ
with the intended plan of repair and/or replacement.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Please feel free to contact us if we can be of
further assistance.
Sincerely,
Paul Isenhour
Laboratory Manager
