Dear Ms. Karoly:
On behalf of Carolina Lakes Development Company (CLDC), this is to again acknowledge
receipt of your "Request For More Information -Addendum" dated April 30, 2007. As your
office has recognized, the mailing address for WATER OAK (the applicant's agent) was
incorrect and WATER OAK had not received the letter directly. So, though there was a
consequent delay in our initial response to your request, we hereby reaffirm our desire to pursue
the Carolina Lakes Block T project.
As for the specific issue of the road crossing impacts labeled "F" and "G," we had already been
actively pursuing further analysis of the possibilities for moving or reconfiguring those
crossings. CLDC is engaged with the USACE in an. Individual Permit review of this project, and
is working through the related Environmental Assessment. Though both the USACE and
NCDWQ had previously approved the submitted design, because of the passage of time since
that approval we are seeking to re-evaluate the project design as much as is practicable. We will
keep you posted with updates as the analysis progresses.
