The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is proposing to replace the subject bridge. The purpose of the project is to replace the functionally obsolete 20’ W x 25’ 6” L timber deck on I-beam bridge with a 21’ 10" W x 40’ L x 5' 8” H aluminum box culvert unit. Traffic will be detoured onsite utilizing staged bridge demolition and construction. The new bridge unit will sit at a 90 degree skew. The existing stable ditches will be maintained. UT to Marble Creek will be relocated for approximately 50 linear feet to allow for roadway cross section. The drainage outlet discharges 0.10 cfs into a lateral v-ditch which flows into Marble Creek.N/ABuffer Rules in Effect:30'Waterbody InformationNCDWR Stream Index No.:NRTR Stream ID:Annual Avg Daily Traffic (veh/hr/day):Existing SiteProject Length (lin. miles or feet): ac.Surface Water Body (1): Class CNCDWR Surface Water Classification for Water Bodyac.20'Project Includes Bridge Spanning Water Body?
