Any active running water as it exists today is following the arrows shown in red below.  This is coming from the 
existing pond and ditch along Umstead Road.  While we are filling in the wetland and adding a crossing pipe, we 
are not anticipating having to divert water from this wetland to construct this driveway pipe.  The existing 
condition as shown below in red already has water diverted away from where this pipe will need to be installed.   

Once the fill for the road is added, the water will divert to this location, but fill for the road will not be placed until 
after this pipe is installed (see 2nd snippet below).  It is also worth pointing out that this is not designed as a major 
culvert with custom headwalls/wingwalls and multiple box segments.  Rather, it will be a simple pre‐cast drop inlet 
(or pre‐cast flared end‐section) to be placed with precast RCP segments.  So construction of this pipe and 
structures should be done within one day.
